NEW YORK (AP) - Chris Young scored 21 points to lead Princeton to a 53-46 victory over Columbia on Saturday night.
Craig Austin's 3-pointer with 10:59 left gave Columbia a three-point lead. But Mike Bechtold tied it with a 3 of his own and Young hit two hook shots during a 14-2 run that gave Princeton a 47-38 lead with 2:36 remaining.
The Lions (8-9, 2-2 Ivy League) never got closer than four the rest of the way.
Young also had seven assists and six rebounds for the Tigers (10-7, 2-0), winners of three straight and four of five.
Austin finished with a game-high 24 points, including 14 in the second half, but was the only Columbia player in double figures. The Lions have lost two in a row following a five-game winning streak.
