Fort Worth, Texas - TCU didn't come close to 100. Princeton didn't come close to 90, and that was even better for the Horned Frogs.
TCU came into Monday's game averaging 102 points and allowing 91. The Horned Frogs then turned in an outstanding defensive performance to defeat Princeton 76-45.
TCU forced 21 Princeton turnovers and held the Tigers to 37% shooting as the home team sprinted away to the victory. Princeton had defeated TCU 77-72 in Princeton last year.
Princeton, which plays at Holy Cross Saturday, fell to 3-5, while TCU improved to 7-2.
For the second straight game, the Tigers allowed 18 offensive rebounds. Equally as important was TCU's overwhelming advantage at the foul line, where the Horned Frogs were 31 for 39 compared to 5 for 10 for Princeton.
Mike Bechtold led all scorers with 19 points in the game, including 4 for 10 three-point shoting. Freshman Konrad Wysocki had easily his best game, finishing with 12 points on 5 for 5 shooting while adding seven rebounds.
TCU led 30-21 at intermission, but the Horned Frogs scored the first seven points after intermission to completely take control. Princeton would get no closer than 14 the rest of the way.
