PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Ray Robins scored 23 points, including 17 in the second half, to lead injury-depleted Princeton over Brown 76-60 on Friday.
With the score tied at 33 early in the second half, Robins hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Tigers a lead they would not lose. Entering the game averaging less than five points, Robins missed one shot from the floor and made all six of his free throws.
Earl Hunt, the Ivy League's leading scorer, had 24 point for Brown (6-11, 3-2), which entered the game as the league's highest-scoring team. Chris Young scored 16 points and Ahmed El-Nokali added 14 for the Tigers (11-7, 3-0), which remained tied with Penn for first in the league.
Despite playing without two of its leading scorers, Princeton shot 60 percent, its best shooting performance of the season.
Jesse Wood's long-range shooting helped Brown stay close in the first half, trailing 29-27 at the break. Wood finished with 12 points, all on 3-pointers.
The Tigers, the league's best defensive team, have now won 10 straight over Brown.
