PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) - Princeton ran to an early 19-4 lead over Brown and cruised to an 85-57 win Saturday night as seven Princeton players scored in double figures for the first time in school history.
But the Tigers (19-9, 11-2) were still mathematically eliminated from the Ivy League race, as Pennsylvania clinched the title with a 69-52 victory over Yale.
The win extended Princeton's all-time home record against Brown (8-19, 4-10) to 50-0, the longest such streak in Division I basketball.
The Tigers posted a 47-24 halftime lead on 17-of-29 shooting from the floor, compared with Brown's 8-of-25 performance. The Bears gave Princeton a better game in the second half, but connected on just 2 of 13 3-point tries and shot 33 percent for the whole game.
Freshman Earl Hunt led Brown with 17 points and five rebounds. Omari Ware added nine points and two assists.
For Princeton, Ray Robins had a team-high 13 points, followed by C.J. Chapman and Spencer Gloger with 12 apiece, 11 points each from Chris Young, Eugene Baah and Nate Walton, and 10 from Ahmed El-Nokali.
Either Penn or Princeton has won the Ivy League championship for the past 11 years and 29 of the last 31. The two teams meet Tuesday night in Philadelphia in the regular season finale.
