PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) - Nate Walton scored 17 of his career-high 26 points in the first half and grabbed 10 rebounds as Princeton beat College of New Jersey 69-59 on Monday night.
It was the third straight win for Princeton (7-7), which got back to .500 for the first time since Dec. 9. College of New Jersey (9-9) lost for the seventh time in eight games.
Mike Bechtold added 15 and Ahmed El-Nokali 11 for Princeton. Chris Hatchell led College of New Jersey with 22 points and Brian Latour added 15.
Walton, whose previous career-high was 15 against Ball State on Dec. 2, shot 8-for-8 in the first half in helping the Tigers to a 34-26 halftime lead.
Princeton was without freshman forward Andre Logan, who had a sore shoulder.
The Tigers never trailed and opened the game's biggest lead at 55-40 before College of New Jersey trimmed it to 59-51 with 2:50 left. Kyle Wente responded with a 3-pointer to open a 12-point advantage and the Lions did not threaten again.
