Ithaca, N.Y. - You want the good news first or the bad news?
The bad news is that Princeton dropped a second straight 17-point decision on the road, falling 66-49 at Cornell Saturday night. The loss came one night after a 59-42 loss at Columbia, marking the first time since 1993 that Princeton has been swept in an Ivy weekend.
There's good news, though. Thanks to Columbia's win over Penn Saturday night, the Tigers find themselves in a three-way tie for first place in the Ivy League, with the Quakers and with Yale. All three teams are 6-3 in the league.
Princeton is home next weekend against Harvard and Dartmouth before traveling to Yale and Brown and then hosting Penn.
Princeton was finishing a stretch of five road games in nine days, one in which Princeton would go 2-3 after a 4-0 league start.
Cornell led 29-23 at intermission and then scored the first nine points of the second half to take command.
Kyle Wente led Princeton with 14 points. Cornell had four players in double figures.
