PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) - Ahmed El-Nokali scored a career-high 23 points and Princeton gradually pulled away from Harvard in the second half to take a 62-48 victory Friday night.
The win enabled Princeton (12-10, 7-3) to hold onto a share of first place in the Ivy League with Penn.
With the score tied 35-35, Konrad Wysocki banked in a desperation jumper in the lane to beat the shot clock and give Princeton the lead for good.
Harvard (12-11, 5-6) cut it to 37-36, but 3-pointers by El-Nokali and C.J. Chapman started Princeton on an 18-3 run.
Harvard shot 1-for-14 with four turnovers during Princeton's decisive run, which included 12 points by El-Nokali. El-Nokali shot 9-for-15 overall and 4-for-9 from 3-point range.
Ed Persia had 12 points for the Tigers and Wysocki had 10 points and four steals. Nate Walton had seven assists and a career-high 12 rebounds.
Dan Clemente led Harvard with 18 and Brian Sigafoos added 13.
The Crimson shot 40 percent and committed 19 turnovers.
