Andre Logan became the third Princeton freshman men's basketball player this season to be named Ivy League Rookie of the Week when he earned the distinction today.
Konrad Wysocki has won the award twice, while Ed Persia has won it once previously this season.
Logan helped lead Princeton to a pair of Ivy wins, and he turned in the biggest plays of the weekend in Princeton's 66-62 win over Brown Friday night. Logan put the Tigers on top to stay in the seesaw game with both ends of a one-and-one and then a three-pointer, and he preserved the win with a blocked shot on Earl Hunt with nine seconds remaining and Princeton ahead by two.
The Brooklyn native finished with 15 points, five rebounds, two blocks and two steals against Brown, and he followed that with seven points, six rebounds and three steals in a 62-49 win over Yale Saturday night.
Princeton, 9-7 after winning five straight and 4-0 in the Ivy League, is at Dartmouth Friday night and Harvard Saturday night.
