Steve Goodrich has been there before and is hoping to go back. Nate Walton and Jesse Rosenfeld are looking for a taste of their own.
The three former Princeton centers are all chasing the dream of an NBA career this summer, and they've all made it past the first step at least.
Goodrich, the 1998 Ivy League Player of the Year, ended last season with the Chicago Bulls, and he is currently starting for the Bulls' summer league team. He is assured of a spot at the team's fall training camp, unless another NBA team signs him.
Rosenfeld, who has had a successful career playing in Israel, made it through the first training camp of the Sacramento Kings and earned a spot in their summer league team. Walton, a first-team All-Ivy pick this past winter after leading the Tigers to the Ivy League title, made it past the first round of cuts for the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers and is now playing on their summer league team.
