Game Notes

Ray Of Hope - Ray Robins came off the bench last year to lead Princeton to a 76-70 home victory over Monmouth. He was 4 for 6 from the field, including 1 for 1 from beyond the arc, and made 11 of 12 free throws en route to a 20-point game. Seeking Assist-ance - Princeton had twice as many assists (16) as Monmouth (eight) in last season's victory. Six players had at least one assist, led by a career-high six by Andre Logan.
Working Overtime - Princeton played its first overtime game in 54 contests on Saturday night. Between a 65-60 overtime win over Weber State in 2000 (John Thompson's first career win) and Saturday's loss to FIU, Princeton had played 10 games that were decided by three points or less, but none went to overtime.
Bouncing Back - Princeton has won its last 14 games following overtime losses. The last time the Tigers lost a game following an overtime defeat was during the 1978-79 season.
It's Been A While - Princeton's loss on Saturday was the first in a home opener since Bucknell earned a 74-62 overtime win in Jadwin Gym during the 1996-97 season.
All's Well That Ends Well - That 1996-97 season ended with Princeton winning the Ivy League championship with a 12-2 league record.

Three For All - Andre Logan is the only player to have more total field-goal attempts (30) than Spencer Gloger has three-point field-goal attempts (23). As a team, Princeton has attempted 83 two-point field goals and 72 three-point field goals this season.
Three For One - Princeton has made as many three-pointers (27) as free throws.
Will The Thrill - Sophomore guard Will Venable has started each game this season after coming off the bench in every game last season. Venable set a career high with seven assists against Florida International.
Wallace's Way - Sophomore center Judson Wallace made his first career start a memorable one by setting career highs with 11 rebounds and six assists to go along with nine points. Wallace's previous career high in rebounds was seven, while his previous high in assists was three.
Mason-ry - Judson Wallace's 14-rebound performance was the most by a Princeton player since Mason Rocca pulled down 18 rebounds in an NIT victory over Georgetown in 2000.
I'm Honored - Judson Wallace was named to the all-tournament team at the Sooner Invitational.

He recorded 17 assists in one game.

Penn picked up 11 first-place votes and 123 total points, while Yale picked up the remaining five first-place votes and 116 points. Princeton received 90 points, five more than Brown. Each of the top three teams in this year's poll shared the Ivy League championship last season. It was the first time in league history when there was a three-way tie for the championship.

Senior captain Kevin Owens is averaging a double-double with 14.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, while Dwayne Byfield is averaging a team-best 18.5 points per game. The Hawks do not shot three-pointers particularly well (11 for 40/.275), although Byfield is 8 for 20 from beyond the arc. They average two more rebounds per game than their opponents, although they are also committing seven more turnovers per game as well.
