Gloger, Logan Returns Highlight Princeton Win In Spanish Opener

Burgos, Spain - Judson Wallace scored 18 points and Spencer Gloger scored 14 points and had four rebounds while making his first three three-pointers as Princeton opened its tour of Spain with a 82-80 win over Autocioforo Burgos.

"It feels great to be back on the floor," said Gloger, who played for the first time since the 2000 NIT against Penn State. "And it?s great to get the win."

Princeton outscored Autocioforo Burgos 45-28 in the second half, 28-17 in the fourth quarter, to earn the come-from-behind victory. Will Venable and Ray Robbins ignited the Tigers in the fourth, each scoring eight points in the final quarter.

"It took some time getting adjust to how Burgos played," said Wallace, "but we came together and did what we had to do win. I happy we got this win tonight." Princeton made 14 three-pointers in the game.

Prior to the opening tip, the two teams met at center court to exchange ceremonial gifts which included pins, key chains and pens.

Princeton opened a 21-15 lead in the first quarter but Autocioforo Burgos rallied to led 35-26 at the end of the quarter. Jose Ma Pedrera scored 10 of his 13 points in the second quarter as Autocioforo Burgos enter the half up 52-37.

Wallace and Andre Logan, playing for the first time since tearing his ACL at Harvard on Jan. 11, combined for a total of 13 points in the third quarter to help move Princeton to within nine points of Autocioforo Burgos.

Logan scored 15 points and had a team-best eight rebounds in the game.

Wallace scored seven of his 18 in the final quarter including the final foul shots to seal the win. Autocioforo Burgos scored as time expired to cut the final margin to two.

"?t?s good to finally play," said head coach John Thompson. "We were sluggish on defense in the first half but we picked up the intensity on the defensive end and played much better together in the second."
