Princeton leaves Valencia on Thursday morning for Barcelona.
"This team was the toughest that we have faced in Spain," said Venable. "Though they might not have been the best players we have seen here, as a team they played us the hardest."
Venable was joined in double figures by three other Tigers as Andre Logan scored 16 points, Spencer Gloger scored 15 points, and Ray Robins scored 14 points.
"Will was terrific at both ends of the court tonight," said Princeton coach John Thompson. "He made some big plays." Grandia opened a 7-0 lead, but Princeton cut it to 24-22 at the end of the first quarter. It was 40-40 at halftime.
Gloger, Venable and Logan turned on the offense in the third quarter as Princeton opened a 62-57 lead. Venable?s buzzer-beating three-pointer with 1:15 left in the fourth but the breaks on the momentum Gandia was building and essentially sealed the victory as the Tigers went up 81-69.
"We got the offense tonight when we needed it" said Kyle Wente. "Will [Venable] stepped it up tonight and had a huge game for us."
The Tigers held Gandia to 71 points, the lowest by an opponent thus far on the trip.
"We can be a very good defensive team" said Thompson. "We just have to get to that point."

"After siteseeing, busing, and playing basketball, most of the guys spent a day enjoying the beach and taking in the sites, sounds and sunbathing opportunities."
