Princeton Suffers First Spanish Loss

Tarragona, Spain - Prineton's men's basketball team suffered the first loss of its Spanish trip in an 86-63 loss to C.B. Tarragona. Princeton is now 4-1 on its tour of Spain.
Will Venable led three Tigers in double figures with 15 points.
Pau Mu?oz scored 12 of his game-high 19 points in the first quarter as C.B. Tarragona raced to a 33-9 lead at the end of the opening period.
The Tigers spread the scoring around evenly in the scond quarter with Kyle Wente, Ray Robins and Judson Wallace was each hit three-pointers. Konrad Wysocki scored six in the quarter as the Tigers narrowed the gap down 44-29 at the half.
Wysocki finished the game with 13 points and Gloger scored 11. Robins finished the match with eight. "It wasn?t a pretty game," said Gloger. "I don?t think that any of us had an exceptional game but we?re looking to rebound tonight."
Princeton was called for 22 fouls that turned into 15 C.B. Tarrogana points. In the final moments of the game, there was confusion at the scorers table about how many fouls were commited by certain Princeton players.
"The beauty of taking trips like this is to see how we respond to adversity; tonight it was the refs and the scorer?s table." said Tiger coach John Thompson. "This group has to get used to tough situations and learn how to work through them.?
Princeton will face Cornella Basquetbol Saturday evening.
