Maybe you've forgotten what the Princeton men's basketball team looks like in person. In the month of February, you'll get your chance to make up for that in a big way.
Princeton plays seven of its next nine games at home, beginning with Friday night's game against Dartmouth at 7:30 p.m. (Patriot Media, WPRB 103.3 FM, GoPrincetonTigers.com). Harvard visits Jadwin Gym to conclude an Ivy League weekend Saturday night at the same time, and the first of two meetings between Princeton and Penn follows less than 72 hours after that on the same Jadwin court.
Princeton has swept Dartmouth and Harvard at Jadwin Gym in each of the last 14 seasons, and the Tigers have defeated Dartmouth at Jadwin 16 straight years by an average margin of 18 points per game.
The Tigers (9-6, 2-0) began their league season in terrific fashion last weekend, winning at Brown and Yale, while an injury-riddled Big Green squad (3-15, 1-3) fell at home to both Columbia and Cornell. Dartmouth's Leon Pattman has been the Ivy League's Rookie of the Week five times in the last six weeks, while Princeton's Will Venable became the third Tiger player this season to earn league Player of the Week honors when he won the award on Monday.
Princeton held Brown and Yale to combined 36% shooting last weekend and has held its last seven opponents to combined 37% shooting overall. NOTE OF THE DAY
