The Tigers are making their 23rd NCAA tournament appearance, a number matched or surpassed by only 17 other schools. Princeton last appeared in the NCAA tournament in 2001, falling to North Carolina in New Orleans in the first round by a 70-48 score. The Tigers won first-round NCAA tournament games in both 1998, defeating UNLV 69-57 in Hartford, Conn., and 1996, defeating defending national champion UCLA 43-41 in Indianapolis.
2004 first-round sites are Buffalo, Raleigh, Orlando, Columbus, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Denver & Seattle. The Buffalo, Denver, Raleigh and Seattle sites will begin play on Thurs., March 18; the Orlando, Columbus, Milwaukee and Kansas City sites will begin play on Fri., March 19.
