Princeton's Venable, Wallace Earn All-Ivy Honors in Men's Basketball

Will Venable, Princeton's second-leading scorer who also ranked in the top five in the Ivy League in both steals and assists, and Judson Wallace, Princeton's leading scorer who averaged 10 points per game in Ivy League play despite being limited by injury to just 20 minutes per game, have each earned All-Ivy League honors.
Venable earns second-team All-Ivy honors after averaging 10.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game. The senior guard from San Rafael, Calif., a team captain, was Princeton's leading scorer (10.2 ppg) and rebounder (3.3 rpg) in Ivy League play. He also averaged better than 36 minutes per game and shot better than 51% from the field.
The 6-3, 200-lb. Venable, a first-team All-Ivy pick a year ago, became Princeton's 26th 1,000-point scorer with a basket early in the first half against Penn Tuesday night. He also ranks fourth all-time at Princeton with 155 steals and ninth all-time at Princeton with 253 assists. Wallace earns honorable mention all-league honors after averaging 12.2 points and 4.9 rebounds, both team highs, and leading the team in blocked shots (27). The senior center from Atlanta, Ga., also a team captain, also led Princeton with 147 free-throw attempts and shot better than 80% from the line. Wallace also averaged nearly two assists per game.
The 6-10, 240-lb. Wallace, a first-team All-Ivy pick a year ago and an honorable mention pick as a sophomore, ranks 16th all-time at Princeton with 1,090 career points. He scored 20 or more points five times during the 2004-05 season, including a 23-point game at Monmouth in which he shot 13-for-13 from the free-throw line.
Penn's Tim Begley was named the Ivy League Player of the Year and was a unanimous first-team All-Ivy pick. Yale's Edwin Draughan and Brown's Jason Forte were also unanimous first-team picks and were joined by Cornell's Lenny Collins and Harvard's Matt Stehle on the first team.
Brown's Damon Huffman, who led all Ivy freshman in scoring at 8.4 points per game, was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
