Tigers Shutout Dartmouth 4-0 in Field Hockey

Hanover, N.H. - Three Tigers scored goals as the Princeton field hockey team improved to 2-0 in Ivy play with a dominating 4-0 win at Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Sarah Yuki scored a goal and added two assists as the Tigers improved to 2-3 on the season.
Princeton got on the board 11:49 into the first half when senior Maren Ford scored her first goal of the year, deflecting freshman Sarah Reinprecht's blast off of a penalty corner. Just over three minutes later, Princeton doubled its lead when freshman Katie Kinzer scored off a feeed from Yuki for her first collegiate goal.
Princeton dug in from there and played stifling defense to keep Dartmouth on its side of the field the majority of the game, and limiting the Big Green to just four shots on goal in the game and none in the second half.
The score remained 2-0 until there were just under five minutes remaining when Yuki scored an unassisted goal. Sophomore Nicole Ng added the final goal less than two minutes later with an assist to Yuki to create the final margin of victory.
For the game, Princeton outshot Dartmouth, 14-4, and led in penalty corners, 8-3. Junior Allison Nemeth made two saves for Princeton.
The TIgers (2-3, 2-0 Ivy) complete the weekend with a game tomorrow afternoon at Northeastern.
