Princeton senior guard Scott Greenman, who scored a career-high 27 points in a win against Yale Friday night, has been named the Ivy League Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
Greenman shot 8 for 11 from the field against the Bulldogs, including a 5-for-7 performance from three-point range, and also added five assists, four rebounds and three steals. His 27 points were the most by a Princeton player since Judson Wallace scored 29 against Yale in February 2004.
The 5-9 senior scored 18 of those points in the first half against the Bulldogs, making all seven of his field-goal attempts in the first 20 minutes. Greenman also finished a perfect 6-for-6 from the foul line for the game.
The next night, against Brown, Greenman made three of his five three-point attempts and finished with nine points. All of his points came in the first half as the Tigers built a 30-12 halftime lead.
Greenman, Princeton's team captain, made eight of his 12 three-point attempts for the weekend. In his last three games, he has made 11 of 17 three-point attempts. He now ranks ninth all-time at Princeton with 121 career three-pointers.
Princeton (5-12, 3-1 Ivy) plays at Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend. The Tigers enter the weekend one game behind league leader Penn in the early Ivy standings.
