Men's Basketball Resumes Ivy League Play at Yale Friday Night

The Ivy League season for the Princeton men's basketball team finally arrives in full swing Friday when the Tigers visit Yale for the first of 12 league games to end the regular season. Game time is 7 p.m. at the John J. Lee Amphitheater (WPRB-FM 103.3, GoPrincetonTigers.com).S

The Tigers (9-7, 0-2 Ivy), who earned a season sweep of the Bulldogs (7-10, 3-1 Ivy) last year, look to break a three-game losing streak and put the memories of losses at Columbia and Cornell three weeks ago well behind them. Yale won on the road at Harvard and Dartmouth last weekend to pull into a second-place tie with Cornell in the league standings.
Princeton has won three of its last four games at Yale and seven of its last eight meetings overall against the Bulldogs.
Friday's game will be Princeton's 13th game away from Jadwin Gym in its first 17 games. After Saturday's game at Brown, Princeton will play seven of its final 10 regular-season games at home.
Saturday's game at Brown will feature two former Princeton captains coaching their respective teams. In addition to Joe Scott '87 on the Tiger bench, first-year Brown coach Craig Robinson '83 will be coaching his first career game against his alma mater.

Road Warriors Princeton's game at Yale Friday is its 13th game away from Jadwin Gym in its first 17 games. The Tigers have played seven road games and five games in two neutral-site tournaments heading into the Yale game.

Injury Report Kyle Koncz, Princeton's leading scorer (9.6 ppg), did not play Monday against Seton Hall due to a stress reaction in his left foot but may play against Yale and Brown this weekend.
Outside the Lines Princeton has taken 350 three-point shots (21.9 per game) and 298 two-point shots (18.6 per game) this season.
Minute Man Freshman guard Marcus Schroeder leads NCAA Division I in minutes played per game (38.8). Schroeder has played 620 of a possible 640 minutes this season.
Test Me Princeton students take first-semester exams in January after returning from holiday break. The Tigers played Jan. 13 at Cornell but did not play again until this past Monday at Seton Hall.
Distance Learning Princeton made 49 three-point shots (9.8 per game) in a five-game stretch Dec. 16-Jan. 12) but has made just six of 41 three-point attempts in its last two games.

Captain, My Captain Senior Justin Conway is Princeton's team captain in 2006-07. Conway is a former walk-on to the program who had played one career minute prior to Jan. 29 of last season.
Numbers Game Justin Conway has averaged 8.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 26 games as a starter beginning last January.
More Honors Justin Conway earned honorable mention All-Ivy honors in 2005-06 despite not playing in Princeton's first two Ivy League games.
