Princeton, Penn Meet for 215th Time Tuesday Night at The Palestra

A classic college basketball rivalry makes its 81st appearance in the classic college basketball arena Tuesday night when Princeton and Penn meet at The Palestra at 7 p.m. (CN8, WBUD-AM 1260, GoPrincetonTigers.com).
Princeton and Penn, meeting for the 215th time overall, have played an overtime game in each of the last three seasons, including the Tigers' thrilling 60-59 win over the Quakers in last season's regular-season finale at Jadwin Gym. That victory ended a three-game losing streak in the series for Princeton.
The Tigers (10-10, 1-5 Ivy) and Quakers (14-8, 5-1 Ivy) each won nine games in non-league play, but Penn's sweep of Harvard and Dartmouth and Yale's loss to Cornell Saturday puts the Quakers back on top of the league standings heading into Tuesday's game.
Either Princeton or Penn has earned at least a share of the Ivy League title in 45 of the last 48 seasons. Either the Tigers or Quakers has represented the Ivy League in the NCAA tournament in each of the last 18 seasons.

Injury Report Kyle Koncz, Princeton's leading scorer, has not started since Jan. 12 due to a foot injury and did not play against Dartmouth. Edwin Buffmire has an ankle sprain and did not play this weekend.
Outside the Lines Princeton has taken 454 three-point shots (22.7 per game) and 374 two-point shots (18.7 per game) this season.
Arc Madness Luke Owings now has 103 three-point shots, 12th all-time at Princeton. Noah Savage has 102 career three-point shots, 13th all-time at Princeton.

Captain, My Captain Senior Justin Conway is Princeton's team captain in 2006-07. Conway is a former walk-on to the program who had played one career minute prior to Jan. 29 of last season.
