August 01, 2007 | Men's Basketball
The NBA Summer League recently concluded its annual session in Las Vegas and one of Princeton's own, Armond Hill '85, took on the head coaching duties for the Boston Celtics entry in this year's league.
Hill's team finished 3-2, with one of the victories coming against the Chinese National Team. The Celtics were led on the court by 2007 draft picks Glen Davis (LSU) and Gabe Pruitt (USC) as well as second-year veteran Rajon Rondo (Kentucky).
While at Princeton, Hill co-captained the 1975 NIT championship team. In 1976, he was named the Ivy League Player of the Year and was the first-round draft pick of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. Hill played eight seasons in the NBA, including six with the Hawks.
Hill is entering his fourth season as an assistant coach on Doc Rivers' staff with the Celtics.
