Davis Earns Ivy Rookie of the Week, TigerBlog Highlight for 25-Point Debut
November 17, 2008 | Men's Basketball
PRINCETON -- Princeton rookie guard Doug Davis earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors and a TigerBlog highlight for scoring 25 points in his first game last Friday.
Davis' total in Princeton's 55-53 loss to
Central Michigan set a record for the most points a
Tiger freshman has scored in his debut. He also scored the most
points by a Princeton player in the first game of his first varsity
season since Bill Bradley went for 28 against Lafayette in 1962.
Today's TigerBlog offers some historical perspective to Davis and his achievement. TigerBlog is updated daily during the week and during selected athletic events.
