She came to Princeton as a lacrosse player, and she would go on to be a two-time first-team All-America and two-time unanimous first-team All-Ivy League selection in the sport. She finished her lacrosse career with 104 goals and 46 assists, and she helped Princeton to the 2002 and 2003 NCAA championships and 2004 NCAA final.
Pillion walked on to the women's soccer team her sophomore year and played in three NCAA tournaments as well. Despite a limited background in the sport, she became an All-Ivy defender, and she was a key part of the Tigers' run to the 2004 NCAA women's soccer Final Four.
Since graduating, Pillion has played internationally with the U.S. women's national lacrosse team. She was also featured in the NCAA's Hall of Champions exhibit featuring the greatest two-sport athletes in college history.
