Men's Basketball Makes Visit to Trenton Boys and Girls Club
April 10, 2009 | Men's Basketball
PRINCETON -- The Princeton men's basketball team paid a visit to the Trenton Boys and Girls Club March 28 to play basketball with the kids and show the importance of education.
The team volunteered their time to conduct skill stations, shooting and dribbling contests, and interact with more than 40 kids from Trenton. All of the attendees had a chance to meet and greet each Princeton player and ask questions, such as where each Princeton student-athlete was from, what position they played, and of great importance to the kids, which players could dunk.
Sydney Johnson '97, the Franklin C. Cappon-Edward G. Green '40 head coach of men's basketball, mentioned the many
options of colleges available to students in the Mercer County area and New
Jersey. He encouraged everyone to think about his or her aspirations and how education is integral to that success.
