Brandeland and Schwab Named Third-Team Academic All-America

PRINCETON, N.J. (6/22/09) ? Seniors Kristin Schwab and Megan Brandeland were honored recently by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America honorees.
A member of the field hockey and women's lacrosse teams, Schwab was named Third-Team Women's At-Large. Schwab was named the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Scholar-Athlete of the Year this season, while capturing six academic honors by both the lacrosse and field hockey coaches associations. She has participated in seven NCAA Tournaments while earning five Ivy League team titles. Schwab earned a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology this past spring.
Brandeland, a member of the cross country and track and field teams, was named Third-Team Women's Cross Country/Track and Field. She earned a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at this year's Commencement. Brandeland has helped her teams win five Ivy League Championships and has been a three-time first-team All-Ivy honoree. She is a two-time NCAA regional qualifier and NCAA participant.
