-The Tigers were due to play at Maine on Dec. 20 but never got out of the Philadelphia airport due to a snow storm. The game was rescheduled for Monday, Jan. 4.
-Princeton is 2-0 so far on its four-game run between the holiday and finals breaks. The Tigers picked up wins over Wagner and at Saint Joseph's and will head to Maine Monday and Marist Wednesday before the exam break begins.
-The Tigers are on a five-game winning streak, their longest since winning seven straight last season from Jan. 3-Feb. 7, 2009.
-Princeton and Maine have met only once, when Maine defeated Princeton 58-55 in overtime on Nov. 19, 2008. Princeton outshot Maine 44 percent to 40.4 percent and outrebounded the Black Bears 39-25 but had 19 turnovers to Maine's 10.
-Princeton
returns 46 of 55 points from last season, minus the nine points Max Huc
scored. Maine loses its leading scorer from last year's game, Kaimondre
Owes (11) while returning 45 of 58 points.
-Princeton
has never played in the state of Maine, though it has played a game in
nearby Nova Scotia, Canada, against Ohio University in December 1999.
-After Saint Joseph's scored the first bucket, Princeton never trailed in its 70-62 win Saturday. The Tigers were more accurate from the floor, 47.1 percent (24 of 51) to 37.3 percent (22 of 59) and on the glass, 41 to 32.
-Four Tigers scored double-figures in the win at Saint Joseph's, the first time Princeton has done that since the 61-41 win over Cornell on Feb. 6, 2009.
-Princeton is 5-0 when it scores more than 60 points this season.
-Princeton is 4-0 this season when it leads at the half, 2-4 when it trails, and 1-0 when it is tied.
-Princeton's 52.9 percent (9 for 17) performance from three-point range against Saint Joseph's was its best percentage since shooting 57.1 percent (8 of 14) against Central Michigan in the season opener.
-Princeton's 41 rebounds and +9 rebounding advantage were each its most since grabbing 41 boards and outrebounding Columbia by 15 on Feb. 6, 2009.
-During the current five-game winning streak, Princeton is allowing teams only an average of 2.4 three-pointers made per game. In the first six games, it was 6.2 threes per game.
-Princeton defeated Saint Joseph's despite the Hawks giving up just eight turnovers, tying a season-low for a Princeton opponent.
-Princeton's two centers, Pawel Buczak (14) and Zach Finley (four) combined for 18 points against Saint Joseph's, the pair's most since combining for 27 in the Manhattan game. Buczak's 14 were a season-high, his most since scoring 15 in the season finale against Penn in 2009.
-Douglas Davis and Dan Mavraides have combined to take 43.7 percent of the Tigers' shots this season and 57.1 percent of three-point attempts. The duo has scored 44.4 percent of the team's points. Against Saint Joseph's, Davis led Princeton with 17 points and Mavraides had 16.
-Zach Finley's four points against Saint Joseph's were his first points since the Dec. 3 game at Rutgers.
-Dan Mavraides' 21 points helped improve Princeton's record to 7-1 when he reaches double digits. The Tigers are 0-3 when he does not.
-Dan Mavraides is averaging 6.6 rebounds per game during the five-game winning streak. He averaged 2.3 rebounds per game during the four-game losing streak that preceded it.
-Seven of Dan Mavraides' 13 steals on the season have come in the last three games.
-Sophomore Douglas Davis stands at 478 career points, just ahead of senior Marcus Schroeder (464) and behind senior Zach Finley (532) on the active career scoring list.
-Pawel Buczak's 14 points and six rebounds were his highest total of the two categories in any game this season.
-Princeton will be the third Ivy League school Maine faces after losing to Brown on Nov. 22 and defeating Columbia on Dec. 30 with both games on the road.
