-Princeton began its Ivy League season Friday night at Brown with a 63-46 win. Princeton shot 48.5 percent in the first half en route to a 40-18 halftime lead. Douglas Davis scored all of his 16 points before the break, and the Tigers limited Brown to four first-half field goals. The Tigers were whistled for a season-high 24 fouls but never led by less than double digits following an 11-2 run that put Princeton up 13-5 with less than eight minutes gone in the game.
-Last season against Yale, the Tigers were outrebounded 43-23 in the first game, though only 16 of Yale's 41 individual rebounds from that contest return this season. Yale also outshot Princeton by 10 percentage points despite the Tigers hitting 7 of 14 three-pointers and Yale making just 2 of 11 from distance. Douglas Davis led Princeton with 11 points and Alex Zampier led Yale with 13, though Ross Morin and Travis Pinick, who each had 10 for Yale, finished their careers last season. In the rematch at Jadwin, Davis, Zampier and Morin again reached double-digit points, but Dan Mavraides led Princeton with 16 points while the Tigers won the rebounding battle and shot 53.5 percent to avenge the earlier loss.
-Old Dominion moved past Princeton into the No. 1 spot in scoring defense through Thursday's games at 54.8 ppg allowed, but Princeton, No. 2 in that ranking, has since lowered its points allowed to 54.5 ppg thanks to allowing Brown just 46 points.

-Princeton had nine wins before the start of the Ivy League season for just the third time in the past 12 seasons. The 1997-98 team went into Ivy play at 11-1, and since then, the top winners were 2004-05 (9-5) and 2006-07 (9-7). Princeton is seeking its first winning season since 2004-05.
