Dinkins a Double Winner as Men's Track & Field Wins Seven at Quad Meet

PRINCETON, N.J. (4/10/10) - The Princeton men's track and field team won seven events as it hosted Rutgers, Penn and Villanova on Saturday, April 10 at Weaver Stadium.
Freshman Russell Dinkins won the 400 running a personal best of 47.58 with sophomore Austin Hollimon taking second at 47.73. The pair teamed up with junior Mike Eddy and senior Brian Li-A-Ping to win the 4x400 in a time of 3:12.53.
In the hurdles, senior Tom Zozokos was second in the 400-meter hurdles at 55.12 with sophomore Nilan Schnure third at 55.97. In the 110-meter hurdles, junior Adam Thayer was third at 15.13.
Sophomore Ivan Charbonneau and freshman Sebastian Steffen both finished second, in their respective events, the 100 and 200. Charbonneau clocked in at 11.01, a persona-best, while Steffen ran a 21.74.
In the middle distance, freshman Peter Callahan took tops honors in the 800 crossing the line at 1:51.80, while classmate Nathan Mathabane was third at 1:53.79. Sophomore Max Kaulbach was third in the 3000 with a time of 8:44.53.
Senior Ian Fox won the high jump clearing 1.94 meters. Sophomore Derek Hynes won pole vault clearing 4.88 meters, while brother Duane Hynes took third in the long jump reaching 7.05 meters.
Senior Eric Plummer won the shot put throwing to 17.14 meters, while junior George Abyad was second and sophomore Patrick Park third with marks of 15.88 and 15.48, respectively.
Abyad went on to place second in the discus at 48.42 meters, while senior Joel Karacozoff was third throwing to 46.60. Karacozoff was also second in the hammer throw reaching 54.30, while junior Craig Pearce won the event with a throw of 60.53.
Also placing in the throws was senior Mark Paski who took third in the javelin at 45.79.
The Tigers will host the Larry Ellis Invitational next weekend, April 16-17 at Weaver Stadium.
