Ian Hummer Reaches 1,000 Career Points
February 05, 2012 | Men's Basketball
NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- With 2:05 to play in the first half, Ian Hummer became the 29th player in Princeton men's basketball history to reach 1,000 career points.
The basket came on a goal tending violation that put him at 1,001 career points.
He is the second current Tiger to reach the thousand mark after senior Douglas Davis did so last year. Davis, Hummer and Kit Mueller' 91 are the only three Tigers to reach 1,000 as juniors since the beginning of freshman eligibility in the 1978-79 season.
Hummer is the second member of his family to reach 1,000 at Princeton, as uncle John Hummer '70 finished his career with 1,031 points.
The Tigers, 11-9 overall and 2-2 in the Ivy League, trail Yale 32-23 at halftime.
