Men's Basketball Alumni Game, Commencement Highlight Reunions Weekend
June 04, 2013 | Men's Basketball
A six-day stretch of commemoration and recognition concluded Tuesday when the Princeton men's basketball Class of 2013 received their degrees.
Last Thursday, the seniors from all of Princeton's varsity sports were recognized at the Princeton Varsity Club banquet, the annual athletics kickoff to Reunions weekend. Men's basketball senior Ian Hummer was one of seven senior men to earn the William Roper Trophy, given to the top senior male student-athletes each year.
Over the weekend, Princeton alumni returned to campus for the annual Reunions events, including an alumni game for members of the men's basketball program (photo below). The attendees spanned the decades, including members of the Class of 2013 as well as two of Princeton's head coaches, Pete Carril (1967-96) and current head coach Mitch Henderson '98.
Commencement events began in earnest Sunday, culminating Tuesday when the five-member men's basketball senior class of Hummer, Brendan Connolly, Mack Darrow, Ameer Elbuluk and Isaac Serwanga donned the caps and gowns.
