Men's Basketball's Jenkins Begins NCAA's ACE Program

Princeton men's basketball assistant coach Marcus Jenkins will take part this week in the NCAA-Black Coaches and Administrators (BCA) Achieving Coaching Excellence (ACE) Program. Jenkins is one of only 14 men's assistant coaches across Division I, II and III chosen to attend.
The four-day intensive “on-court” and “off-court” program, which will take place June 5-8 at the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis, will be facilitated by respected coaches and industry professionals from around the country. It is an exclusive opportunity for male and female coaches designed to enhance an already talented group of ethnic minority collegiate basketball coaches to become the next generation of successful basketball coaches.
"I'm humbled to have been selected to attend the BCA ACE program," Jenkins said. "There are plenty of great assistant coaches out there and I am truly honored to be one of the few chosen to go to Indianapolis. I plan to learn as much as I can while there in hopes of becoming a better assistant coach at Princeton."
To date, a total of 161 coaches have participated. Forty-five have gone on to head coaching positions. The ACE program is committed to developing the well-rounded coach in the areas of leadership, communications, campus and community relations, media training and program management.
