| Wake Forest topped Princeton 80-66 to end both teams' 2014 Wednesday afternoon in North Carolina as conference play draws closer. Princeton led 14-11 at the midway point of the first half but saw Wake Forest go on a 19-4 run to build a 12-point lead at 30-18 in the half's final minute. During that 19-4 run, the Tigers were just 1 of 9 from the field and had four turnovers. Princeton came within seven points in the second half after Steven Cook scored six straight points to bring Princeton within 63-56 with seven minutes to go. The Tigers couldn't sustain the rally, though, and Wake Forest answered with four straight points to retake a double-digit lead that never slipped below eight from that point. Wake Forest made six 3-pointers in the first nine minutes of the second half, the last of which gave Wake an 18-point lead, its largest of the game, at 59-41. The Deacons had 33 of their 80 points off the bench, led by 15 from 6-10 freshman Dinos Mitoglou in 27 minutes of play. He was one of five Deacons in double figures. |

Princeton had cut the Wake Forest lead to seven at 63-56 before a media timeout with 6:19 to go, but the Deacons got back-to-back baskets including a slam dunk from Devin Thomas to regain a double-digit lead. From that point, Princeton never came closer than eight. |

• Princeton and Wake Forest were meeting for the fourth time. The Demon Deacons now lead the all-time series 3-1. • Princeton was outrebounded for the sixth straight game. The Tigers won three of those games, all at home, but lost the three on the road, including Wednesday afternoon's contest. Wake Forest especially capitalized on the offensive glass, getting 12 offensive rebounds that led to 12 second-chance points while holding Princeton to just two offensive boards. |
