Sixteen Princeton Rowers Earn IRA All-Academic Honors

Sixteen members from the Princeton rowing program, ranging from heavyweight to both men's and women's lightweight teams, recently earned 2014 Intercollegiate Rowing Association All-Academic Honors.
For a student-athlete to be eligible, he or she must be at least a sophomore in standing and completed one full year at his or her respective institution; maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.35 or higher; earn an institutional letter; compete or be under consideration at the 2014 Intercollegiate Rowing Association Regatta.
The Princeton heavyweights, who placed fourth in the IRA grand final, had five members named to the team, including senior captain Will Gillis, who also earned Academic All-Ivy League honors. The other heavyweights were Jill Barton, Jason Elefant, Sebastian Grimberg and Douglas Guyett.
The men's lightweights placed fifth at the IRA Championships, and they had seven qualifiers, including several from the varsity eight. The lightweight recipients were James Agolia, Isaiah Brown, William Downing, Sven Henningson, Bowen Peard, Casey Ward and Christian Wawrzonek.
The women's lightweights, who also placed fifth at the IRA Championships, earned four honors, including one for junior co-captain Becky Kreutter. The other honorees were Emily Hill, Phoebe Huang and Helen Stillwell.
