Brase Wraps China Trip with German Team
July 25, 2014 | Men's Basketball
A month of world travel came to a close Friday for Hans Brase, at least on the court.
Brase, a rising junior at Princeton, wrapped a six-game trip to China with the German second national team Friday after the team traveled to two Chinese cities to face the host country along with Serbia and Montenegro.
Brase saw time in all six games, with his standout performance coming in a 72-66 win over Serbia last Sunday. In 22 minutes, Brase led the Germans with 11 points and grabbing nine rebounds for the first of two times on the China trip.
Earlier in the month, Brase had traveled to Romania with the German team for a pair of games against Romania's national team.
The international experience figures to serve Brase well as he prepares to return to Princeton for his junior campaign. Brase is Princeton's leading returning scorer, standing second on the team last year at 11.2 points per game, and he led all Tigers at 5.7 rebounds per contest while standing third on the team with 65 assists.
