Young Earns Second Ivy Rookie of the Week Honor
January 26, 2015 | Men's Basketball
Princeton freshman Aaron Young has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the second time in a month.
Young, who also won the honor on Dec. 29, scored a game-high 15 points in nine minutes of action Sunday against Rowan while going 5 of 6 from the field, all from 3-point range. Young's Rookie of the Week award is Princeton's third of the season, including Amir Bell's honor on Dec. 1. The Tigers have now won three of the last nine Ivy Rookie awards.
Young was one of three Tigers in double figures, along with junior Hans Brase (13) and Hashim Moore (career-high 12) in the 96-48 win over the Profs as Princeton returned from the finals break before resuming Ivy League play Friday against Harvard.
Friday's game will be a 6 p.m. start and will be televised on ESPNU.
