THE WEEK THAT WAS
• The Tigers split a pair of games last weekend, upending Ivy League rival Brown (W, 4-2) before falling to No. 1 Syracuse (L, 4-2).
• Trailing 1-0 against Brown, the Tigers netted a pair of goals just 1:45 apart to regain control. Jane Donio-Enscoe assisted on Elizabeth George's first goal at 12:53 before putting back a rebound at 14:38. With the game knotted at 2-2, Maddie Copeland scored a go-ahead goal just before the intermission before George put away her second of the day at the 60:53 mark of the second half to make it 4-2.
• The Tigers finished with a 19-8 shot advantage with an 11-3 edge in penalty corners.
• Anya Gersoff made two saves in the win.
• Staking the Tigers to a halftime lead of against No. 1 Syracuse, Donio-Enscoe broke a scoreless deadlock at 31:52. Following a pair of Orange goals at 46:54 and 51:45, Ryan McCarthy pulled the Tigers even at 55:08. Keeping its unblemished record intact, Syracuse answered with two goals down the stretch to seal its 15th-consecutive win.
• The Orange finished with a 17-11 shot advantage with a 6-2 edge in penalty corners.
• Gersoff recorded six saves in the loss.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO
• The Tigers picked up their seventh Ivy League weekly award of the season with Jane Donio-Enscoe taking home Rookie of the Week accolades on Oct. 20.
• Helping Princeton to a 1-1 week, Donio-Enscoe collected five points on two goals and a helper.
• Having a hand in the Tigers' first two goals against Brown, Donio-Enscoe broke a scoreless deadlock late in the first half against No. 1 Syracuse to give Princeton a 1-0 lead at the intermission.
• In 11 appearances, Donio-Enscoe has picked up two goals and two assists.
