The Tigers of New York had a chance to tie it up a few minutes later when Lindsay Stenason fired a shot from the slot that hit the post.
Kelsey added the team's second power-play goal at 5:49 of the second period. She got the puck off an RIT dump in behind her own cage, raced up the side past a few RIT defenders and made a move inside the circle before put the puck over Stoddart's left shoulder.
The third goal came just 49 seconds into the third period when Contini's pass was deflected but found Sly just to the right of the goal and she was able to put it away.
Lloyd tallied her first goal of the season from Lund and Achterkirch at 11:58 with a low shot on Stoddart.
Newell's best save of the night came late when RIT had a breakaway opportunity. Logan Land deked left and attempted to go high right but the quick glove of Newell prevented the goal and gave her the clean sheet.
