Cannady Earns First Ivy Rookie Weekly Honor
December 28, 2015 | Men's Basketball
Devin Cannady matched his Princeton best with 17 points last Tuesday night against Bucknell, and he's been named the Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Week for his efforts.
The award is Princeton's first Ivy weekly honor of the season, and Cannady shares it with fellow rookie Evan Boudreaux of Dartmouth.
Princeton's second-leading scorer on the season so far, Cannady is averaging an even 10 points per game and has scored in double figures five times as a Tiger.
Cannady's total matched his career debut at Rider on Nov. 13, when he scored the second-most points by a Princeton freshman in a season opener. It also led the Tigers to an 89-77 win over the Bison, bringing Princeton to 7-3 on the season.
Cannady and the Tigers are in Florida for Tuesday's 7 p.m. game at the University of Miami, which can be seen on ESPN3.com and heard here on GoPrincetonTigers.com and WPRB 103.3 FM.
