Postgame Notes: Princeton 100, Bryn Athyn 44
January 24, 2016 | Men's Basketball
• This was the first meeting between Princeton and Bryn Athyn. Princeton is now 28-0 in the annual post-finals non-Division I game.
• This was the second time this season that Princeton has scored 100 points in a game. The last time Princeton hit the 100 mark twice in the same season was in 1966-67, when the Tigers did it three times. Princeton also beat Lafayette 104-52 this season. Five decades ago, the wins were against Lafayette (108-59), Colgate (110-72) and Dartmouth (116-42).
• Sunday's game was both the most points scored in the post-finals, non-Division I game, which dates back to 1986, and the largest margin of victory (56) in that game. Princeton scored 99 points against Ursinus in 2003 and defeated Western Maryland by 54 in 2002.
• Princeton improved to 6-0 at home this season, the second time in three years the Tigers have started 6-0 at home.
• Princeton's 16 3-pointers were its second-most of the season. The Tigers poured in 17 against Lafayette on Nov. 25.
• Princeton's .514 clip from the field marked the seventh time this season, and the third time in the last four games, that Princeton made at least half its field goal tries. Princeton is 7-0 in those games.
• Bryn Athyn's .271 clip from the field was the lowest for a Princeton opponent since TCNJ shot .230 on Jan. 27, 2013.
• Princeton's +30 rebounding advantage was its best since the Tigers outrebounded TCNJ by 30, also in that 2013 meeting.
• Princeton out-assisted Bryn Athyn 23-4.
• Sophomore Jackson Forbes matched his career high with nine points.
• Steven Cook's 14 points were his most since putting in 15 at Saint Joseph's on Dec. 8 and three off his season high.
