Cook Among 30 Candidates for Senior CLASS Award

Princeton senior Steven Cook has been included among 30 men's basketball candidates for the Senior CLASS Award, which recognizes student-athletes for their contributions on the court, in the classroom and in the community.
A two-time All-Ivy League honoree and an Academic All-Ivy selection, Cook leads the Tigers in scoring at 15.8 points per game and in steals with 21 as Princeton heads for its Ivy League opener Saturday at 7 p.m. against Penn in Jadwin Gym.
An economics major, Cook has fundraised for the Gidel Mother of Mercy Hospital in Sudan and has served as a business operations intern for the anti-poverty Heartland Alliance in Chicago, helping to reorganize the group's business operations systems at Heartland's health clinic.
Cook has also been nominated for the NABC Good Works Team, which will be announced later this season. The Senior CLASS Award's list of 30 nominees will be trimmed to 10 in February, and fans will then be able to vote for the winner.
