Forrest to Race in NCAA Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. (11/14/17) – Junior Gabi Forrest will compete at the 2017 NCAA Cross Country Championship, representing the Princeton women's cross country team on Saturday, Nov. 18 in Louisville, Ky. The women's 6k race is now at 9 a.m.
The 2017 Ivy League Champion qualified as an individual with a third-place finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional at Lehigh last Friday. Forrest clocked a 21:02.3 to win Heps in Van Cortlandt Park and ran 20:12.2 at the Regionals.
Princeton was 21st the last time the NCAAs were held in Louisville, in 2015, though this will be the first time Forrest will run the course. Forrest is the ninth Tiger to qualify for the NCAAs as an individual and is the first since Megan Curham did so in 2014 and finished 18th. The best finish by an Princeton individual was in 2011 when Alex Banfich was fifth in Terre Haute, in her native Indiana.
