EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton begins a six-game road swing this weekend and takes on two more nationally-ranked teams in St. Lawrence and Clarkson first. Overall, the Tigers are 2-4-2 and 2-4 in the ECAC. The squad most recently posted a 3-0 shutout over Union with senior Alysia DaSilva making 31 stops in her first game of the season. Sophomore Stephanie Neatby has started the other seven games in goal and has a .930 save percentage and a 1.98 goals against average. Sophomore Carly Bullock and junior Karlie Lund sit atop the scoring column with eight points apiece. Bullock is fifth in the country in goals per game, netting seven in eight games. Lund has a team-high six helpers and two goals. Junior Stephanie Sucharda leads the defense with five assists, to lead the sixth-best defense in the nation, limited opponents to just 1.88 goals per game.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS
St. Lawrence is ranked No. 7 in the nation with a 6-4-2 overall record, and is tied for second in the league with a 3-1 mark. All four of the Saints' losses have come to nationally ranked teams, which includes a split with Boston College at home last weekend. Junior Justine Reyes and senior Hannah Miller lead the offense with 12 points apiece. Reyes has scored a team-best six goals while Miller has a team-high 12 assists. Senior Kennedy Marchment chips in 11 points. St. Lawrence has split goaltending duties between juniors Grace Harrison and Sonjia Shelly. Harrison is 3-3-2 with a 2.35 GAA and an .894 save percentage while Shelly is 3-1 with a 2.26 GAA and a .904 save percentage.
THE PRINCETON/ST. LAWRENCE SERIES
Princeton owns a 32-27-3 advantage in the all-time series with St. Lawrence, which dates back to 1982. The teams have split in each of the last four seasons, with three of Princeton's four wins coming at Appleton. The team also met for a three-game quarterfinal series in 2016 at Hobey Baker Rink, with the Saints advancing in OT of Game 3. That season Princeton went on the reach the NCAAs as an at-large team, falling to eventual national champion Minnesota.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS
The defending national champion is 11-2-1 on the season and ranked No. 4 in the national poll. With a 3-1 record in the ECAC, Clarkson sits in a five-way tie for second place. Both of Clarkson's losses, at home versus Colgate and Vermont, were both one-goal games. Senior netminder Shea Tiley has six shutouts this season and a 1.27 GAA and a .937 save percentage. The defense has limited teams to 1.21 gpg, while the offense puts up 4.07 gpg. Junior Loren Gabel ranks fourth in the country in points per game with 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points in 14 games. Freshman Elizabeth Giguere adds 10 goals and 14 assists. Three others are in double figures in points. The Golden Knights have the second-best power play in the nation at 29.3 percent (17 of 58) and ranks sixth in penalty kill at 89.4 percent (59 of 66).
THE PRINCETON/CLARKSON SERIES
The series with Clarkson has been a see-saw of affairs, with Princeton dominating the first portion going 10-0-1. Lately it's been the Golden Knights with the advantage going 8-0-1 since the 2013-14 season. Princeton's last win was a 4-1 game in Potsdam on Feb. 15, 2013.
