Let's take a quick look back at the Seton Hall contest before a few notes about the Georgia Tech matchup on Sunday...
- Bella Alarie – Alarie was sparkling against Seton Hall on Thursday as she dropped in a game-high 22 points and 12 boards, along with three assists, a block and a steal for her eighth career double-double.
Her 22 points was four shy of her career-high while it's the sixth time she's grabbed at least 12 boards in a game. Dating back to last season, the sophomore is averaging 11.5 rebounds per game in her last seven contests.
Alarie is shooting 54.2 percent from this season (13-of-24). She has made at least half of her shots in consecutive games for the second time in her career.
- Leslie Robinson – Robinson was one of five players to score in double figures (16 points) against Seton Hall. It was the first time Princeton had five players register at least 10 points in a game since last December vs. Wagner.
The senior captain added in other ways, posting seven assists while making six free throws, both of which were career highs. She had five rebounds and blocked a shot in the victory as well.
- Princeton's Defense – Once again, the Tigers' defense played a major role as they found themselves trailing by double-digits against Seton Hall. After allowing the Pirates to shoot 46.7 percent in the first half, Princeton held Seton Hall to 27.8 percent from the field in the second half. The Pirates made just four baskets in the third quarter.
- Seton Hall's Donnizha Fountain - The Tigers maintained Fountain, the reigning Big East Player of the Week, to 6-of-20 (30 percent) and 0-of-6 from beyond the arc. Fountain managed just one basket in the final five minutes of the game as the Tigers kept Seton Hall at bay.
- Creating Turnovers – The Tigers turned the ball over 19 times against Seton Hall, leading to 23 Pirates' points. However, after 11 turnovers in the first half, Princeton had just eight after halftime.
- Francesca Pan – Pan, the 2017 ACC Rookie of the Year, currently leads the unit in scoring(13.0). She's shooting 39.1 percent from the three-point line and has poured in at least 14 points in two of Georgia Tech's three games this year. She did not play against Princeton last year.
- GT's Balanced Scoring – The Yellow Jackets have four players that score at least 10 points per game in Pan, Zaire O'Neil, Kaylan Pugh and Antonia Peresson. O'Neil, Pugh and Peresson come off the bench for Georgia Tech. O'Neil leads the team in rebounding (7.0) and recently reached the 1,000-point milestone.
- Swarming Defense - Georgia Tech, through the first week, sits with the fifth best scoring defense in the country (43.0). The Yellow Jackets have held opponents to single-digit scoring quarters four times this year. The ACC foe ranks 15th nationally in field goal percentage defense (29.4) and 23rd in three-point field goal percentage (20.8).
