Princeton Falls To Seton Hall In Tuneup Before Ivy Play

Zack Belski had two hits including his first career triple while Cody Phillips also had two hits in the contest. Jesper Horsted had a RBI, run scored and a stolen base in the loss.
Seton Hall's Mikael-Ali Mogues' home run in the second inning started the game's scoring. Princeton countered with two runs in the top of the third frame. With one out, Horsted walked then stole second. Ramzi Haddad followed by ripping a base hit to right field that scored Horsted. Belski's RBI triple put the Tigers ahead, 2-1. Seton Hall retook the lead with two runs in its half of the third on a groundout and a wild pitch.
Joe Poduslenko hit a grand-slam in the bottom of the fourth stanza to set the score at 7-2. Horsted's RBI groundout got the Tigers within four, 7-3, in the fifth. Seton Hall added individual runs in the sixth and seventh innings before a five-spot in the eighth.
Princeton will have its home and Ivy League opener vs. Yale on Saturday (Apr. 1). The doubleheader begins at 12 p.m. before another Ivy double-dip vs. Brown on Sunday (Apr. 2). The last time Princeton and Yale faced off was game three of the 2016 Ivy League Championship, won by the Tigers on a walk-off wild pitch.
