Athletic Accomplishments:
A forward on the women's hockey team, Cassidy was named second-team All-Ivy League this season as she finished fifth on the team in scoring with 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points. She was 2-for-2 on penalty shots, had a +13 on-ice rating, blocked 35 shots and won 51.5% of her face-offs (35-33). Princeton won the Ivy League in 2016 and earned an at-large bid to the eight-team NCAA Tournament.
Off the Ice:
Cassidy is the Director of Communications and Global Relations at SPLT, an enterprise-focused ridesharing platform. In that capacity she handles communications efforts for SPLT including managing media relationships, driving press attention and leveraging integrated strategies to raise brand awareness through traditional and new media channels. A native of Detroit, Cassidy started working with SPLT the summer after her sophomore year at Princeton and loves the fast-paced, creative and challenging work environment that comes along with the startup life.
Cassidy on her involvement with SPLT:
"As student-athletes at Princeton, we face the challenge of combining rigorous studies with extracurricular activities. Being part of a team that requires a large time commitment has taught me lessons in time management and prioritization, both of which I've found to be extremely important in the workplace. Hockey has provided me with countless opportunities to practice structuring my time in order to meet deadlines. Without this experience, I'm not sure if I would have been prepared to balance Princeton, a Division I sport, and a demanding job."
