January 12, 2018 | Women's Ice Hockey
Princeton, N.J. (1/12/18) - Sophomore Carly Bullock scored twice as the Princeton women's hockey team earned a 4-0 win over Brown University on Friday night at Hobey Baker Rink. Sophomore netminder Stephanie Neatby made 25 saves in her second shutout of the season, as the Tigers outshot the Bears 47-15.
Freshman Annie MacDonald's first collegiate goal opened the scoring for the Tigers at 11:53 of the first, as she received a pass from classmate Sharon Frankel at the top of crease and slid the puck past Calla Isaac.
Bullock net her first of two with just 15 seconds left in the second period with a wrist shot to the top right corner. She was set up by junior Karlie Lund and sophomore Claire Thompson.
Bullock tallied again at 8:14 of the third, ending a beautiful play with a wrist shot to the top left corner. Lund entered the zone before dropping a pass to Mackenze Ebel, who slid the puck to Bullock for the finish from the high slot. Ebel added an insurance marker by knocking home a loose puck in front with 13 seconds remaining in the game.
The win extends Princeton's streak to 15 straight victories against Brown.
The Tigers were 0 for 4 on the power play, and 3 for 3 on the penalty kill as they improve to 7-10-4 overall and 6-8-1 in the ECAC.
