Tigers Look to Make a Push in League Standings This Weekend

EYE ON THE TIGERS
Princeton is coming off a great confidence boosting weekend after taking down No. 5 Cornell by a score of 5-2, following by a close 3-2 game with No. 4 Colgate. Since returning from the Christmas break, the Tigers are 2-1-1 and are 6-10-4 overall and 5-8-1 in the league. Six players are in double figures in scoring lef by senior Kiersten Falck and her 14 points. She has a team-high 13 assists and one goal. Juniors Karlie Lund and Stephanie Sucharda are right behind her with 13 points each. Sophomore Carly Bullock has a team-best 10 goals and one assist for 11 points, while junior Keiko DeClerck and sophomore defender Claire Thompson have 10 points apiece. Princeton has the sixth best penalty kill in the country at 88.9 percent In goal, going 72 for 81 and scoring two short-handed goals. In goal, sophomore Stephanie Neatby has a .919 save percentage and a 2.20 goals against average.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
Brown is 2-15 in head coach Bob Kenneally's third season. The Bears are last in the ECAC with a 1-9 ECAC mark, its lone win being a 3-2 game at Dartmouth in November. Brown is 1-3 since returning from Christmas break, topping Sacred Heart 3-1 following by three losses. Senior Sam Donovan leads the offense with 13 points on six goals and seven assists. Sophomore Sena Hanson and seniro Samantha Swanstrom add 11 points apiece, with Hanson netting a team-high eight goals. Three goaltenders have been utilized with sophomore Calla Isaac playing in the majority of contests. She has an .889 save percentage and a 4.23 GAA in 10 games.
THE PRINCETON/BROWN SERIES
Princeton is undefeated in the last 14 meetings with Brown and has a 74-10 goal differential over the Bears in those 14 contests. Overall the Tigers hold a 46-29-2 edge in the all-time series that began on Feb. 22, 1980.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Yale enters the weekend with a 4-9-4 overall record and a 2-6-2 ECAC mark. The squad has played just one game since Dec. 10, a 1-0 win over Quinnipiac on Jan. 2, a team they will close the series with on Friday night. The Bulldogs are led in scoring by freshman Greta Skarzynski who has scored eight goals and eight assists. Senior defender Mallory Souliotis has a team-best 11 assists and adds a goal for 12 points. Juniors Emma Vlasic and Julia Yetman contribute nine points apiece. Sophomore Tera Hofman has started in 10 of 17 games in goal. She sports a .924 save percentage and a 2.35 GAA.
THE PRINCETON/YALE SERIES
Princeton owns a 60-15-3 advantage in the all-time series with Yale, with the first game dating back to Dec. 8, 1979. Last year in Princeton the Bulldogs took a 3-1 game four months after the teams played to a 1-1 draw in New Haven, Conn. The Tigers swept the series with Yale in 2015-16.
