Princeton Sweeps George Washington To Claim Home Opener

One day after a hard-fought 6-3 victory over Stanford, the third-ranked Princeton women's squash team took care of business in a 9-0 sweep of George Washington in the 2018-19 home opener.
A trio of freshmen made their career Jadwin debuts, and it didn't take long for them to feel at home. Bubble Lui, who took over the No. 1 spot following the graduation of Olivia Fiechter, claimed an 11-3, 11-7, 11-4 win on the main court, while both Elle Ruggiero (#4) and Andrea Toth (#8) also earned 3-0 victories. Toth dropped only six points in her match; head coach Gail Ramsay's team showed its depth, as it dropped only 13 total points between the 7-9 positions.
Members of every class earned wins for Princeton, including the senior duo of Samantha Chai (#3) and Izzy Hirshberg (#9), both of whom would love to recapture a bit of — if not build upon — an impressive 2017-18 season, when the Tigers moved to the #1 spot during the middle part of the season and dropped only one regular season match the whole year.
