Princeton Battles Marist In Final Home Game of 2018

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton Tigers host the Marist Red Foxes in the final game at Jadwin Gym in 2018.
After dropping seven consecutive games, the Tigers look for their fourth straight victory. The Tigers have outscored their opponents by 15.3 points per game during their winning streak.

Offensive Struggle - In the first quarter, Princeton allowed just four baskets and created five Monmouth turnovers. The Hawks came into the game with one of the worst offensives in Division-I. After allowing the home squad to shoot 10-of-18 (55.6 percent) in the second quarter, Princeton held the Hawks to 6-of-33 (18.2 percent) for the final 20 minutes.
Sierra Green – After consecutive 20+ point games, the Tigers allowed Green to score just nine points. The Monmouth junior was forced to take 20 shots and did not make a basket inside the three-point arc. It was her second worst shooting performance of the season.
Gabrielle Rush – Rush secured her sixth straight game with at least 10 points (11), but added more for Princeton with six rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. She has already set personal highs in total steals and blocks this season and is just nine shy of her career mark for rebounds.

Long Range Buckets – The Red Foxes have had great success shooting from deep this season, sitting 37th in the country in three-point field goal percentage (37.0). Marist has knocked down 18 treys combined over the last two games and has hit at least seven three-pointers in eight games.
Rebekah Hand - An All-MAAC first team player as a sophomore last year, Hand leads the team in scoring at 17.4 points per game. She's shooting 45 percent from the floor and 44 percent from beyond the arc. She is among the top 100 in the NCAA in three-point field goal percentage (43.6) and treys per game (2.6) and has the seventh highest free-throw percentage (93.1).
Block Parties – Princeton is 14th among Division I teams in blocks with 51 and is 46th in blocked shots per game (4.6). Six different players have at least five swats for the Tigers, highlighted by Sydney Jordan's 11. Bella Alarie has posted nine in just two games after returning from injury.
#BellaBuckets - Since returning from injury, Alarie has been outstanding in her two games, posting 16.0 points, 13.0 rebounds, 4.5 blocks, 2.0 assists per game. Alarie was incredible against Quinnipiac last Saturday, registering 16 points with a career-high 19 rebounds, along with five blocks, two steals and two assists. For her effort, she was selected as Ivy League Player of the Week for the 10th time in her career.
