Cannady Earns NABC All-District 13 Honors
March 13, 2018 | Men's Basketball
For the second consecutive season, Princeton junior Devin Cannady has earned NABC All-District 13 recognition, once again standing as a second-team honoree.
District 13 includes the Patriot League and the Ivy League. Yale's Miye Oni, Harvard's Chris Lewis, Colgate's Will Rayman and Penn's Ryan Betley joined Cannady on the second team, while Bucknell's Zach Thomas and Nana Foulland, Harvard's Seth Towns, Cornell's Matt Morgan and Penn's A.J. Brodeur were on the first team.
Cannady led Princeton in scoring this season at 16.7 points per game, putting in 484 points to become the third junior in the last quarter-century to join Princeton's 1,000-point club. He'll enter his senior season 14th on that list at 1,224 points. A strong outside shooter, Cannady hit 80 3-pointers this season, more than double any other Tiger, and will enter his final season with 218 career threes, good for fourth on Princeton's career list and 63 back of record-holder Brian Earl '99 (281). He could become only the third Tiger in program history, along with Earl and Douglas Davis '12, with four 50 3-pointer seasons. An .884 free throw shooter this season, Cannady stands at .908 for his career and could set the program record for free throw percentage for any Tiger with at least 100 attempts, which Joe Heiser '68 now holds at .888.
